Following a relevant order of the Athens Prosecutor’s Office, the identity documents and photographs of four locals, accused of being members of a criminal group that systematically committed thefts from elderly homes and which was dismantled on 25-5-2022, by the Southern Security Sub-Directorate of the Security Directorate of Attica.
In particular, the criminal group approached elderly people when they returned to their homes in the areas of Glyfada, Elliniko and Paleo Faliro and pretending to be Electricity Company technicians or elevator maintainers, they deceived them and persuaded them to enter their homes.
After gaining access to the homes of the victims, members of the gang temployed under various pretexts within themwhile other members searched the premises and removed jewelry and money.
From research four cases of theft were investigated with the aforementioned methodology.
