MyEFKAlive expands its operations in Eastern Macedonia, Thrace and Thessaly

by

The geographical expansion of myEFKAlive is being carried out by the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs and Digital Governance.

In particular, as mentioned in a joint announcement of the two ministries, the possibility of remote service to the citizen by an e-EFKA employee, via video call, now covers geographically the residents of areas located in the Regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and Thessaly.

Specifically, myEFKAlive includes the following areas:

– from the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace: Kavala, Alexandroupoli (First Local Directorate of Evros), Thassos and Samothrace and

– from the Region of Thessaly: Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and the 2nd Local Directorate of Magnesia.

It is reminded that myEFKAlive is a product of the cooperation of e-EFKA executives, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the General Secretariat of Information Systems of Public Administration of the Ministry of Digital Government, which has developed this platform for other agencies and organizations. It was launched last July and is gradually expanding throughout the territory, with an emphasis on remote areas. The service enables citizens, especially residents of mountainous, island or remote areas, as well as people with disabilities, to be served by video call from their home or office, without the need to move to an e-EFKA branch.

The digital services provided through the above platform and significantly facilitate the transactions of citizens with e-EFKA amount to 16 and are the following:

1. Sickness allowance

2. Maternity allowance

3. Electronic application for funeral expenses (pensioners and employees of IKA)

4. Certificate of insurance (insurance time – previous service)

5. Change registry information

6. Insurance capacity

7. Receipt of KEPA decision

8. Inventory of the insured

9. Issuance of a European insurance card

10. Inventory certificate

11. Application for a monthly pension information note

12. Monitoring the progress of the retirement application

13. Certificate of registration for self-employed

14. Certificate of insurance time for self-employed

15. Processing a request for insurance time in case of loss of stamps (for insured IKA)

16. Processing a request for the issuance of a farmers’ inventory card

As pointed out in the announcement, access to the service is easy and simple and is done either through the website of EFKA (efka.gov.gr) or the Unified Digital Portal of Public Administration (gov.gr). The citizen enters the service using the personal Taxisnet codes and can make an appointment on the day and time that serves him, from his home or office computer or even from his mobile phone. On the day of the appointment, the interested party connects via video call with an EFKA employee, in order to submit applications for certificates, allowances or to be informed about a pension or insurance issue.
