Chocolate ice cream with peanut butter

This chocolate ice cream with peanut butter is a creamy, rich, sweet and savory treat.

What do you need:

1/2 cup milk

4 egg yolks

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa powder without sugar

2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder

a pinch of salt

3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter, melted

60 gr. semi-sweet chocolate, melted

1 1/2 cup cream, cold

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 tablespoons roasted pecans, finely chopped

How to make it:

Pour the milk into a small saucepan and put it on a medium heat. Heat without boiling.

Beat the egg yolks, sugar, cocoa and salt together, in a medium bowl. When the milk is hot and small bubbles form at the edges, add it slowly to the egg mixture, while stirring, to warm the yolks. When we have put all the milk, transfer it back to the pot.

Add the melted peanut butter and the melted chocolate and continue cooking, on low heat, until the mixture thickens slightly.

Drain the mixture into a bowl safe for heat. Stir in the cream and vanilla extract. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

At the end of the process, add the pecans and let them mix in the ice cream.

Put the ice cream in a pan. If you want, pour a little peanut butter over the ice cream.

Cover with plastic wrap and freeze.
