EL.AS dismantled a gang that trafficked large quantities of various types of drugs in the center of Athens

A criminal organization that trafficked significant quantities of various types of drugs in the area of ​​the center of Athens was dismantled, by Drug Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate.

In particular, and in the context of specific actions of the above Service, for the deconstruction of criminal drug trafficking circuits and after investigation and exploitation of information regarding the action of a criminal organization, active in the trafficking of significant quantities of cocaine, raw and processed cannabis). Athens (Attiki square, Klafthmonos square and Kyprou square), its members were located and their criminal activity was certified.

Following the above, in the morning and noon hours of Tuesday (14/6), in order to dismantle the criminal circuit and prevent the spread of drugs in the illegal market, in an organized police operation of the Drug Prosecution Sub-Directorate, 4 members of the organization were arrested, including 3 , aged 60, 49 and 45 and a 30-year-old native.

The hierarchy of the gang

The pre-investigation investigation also certified the role of each member of the circuit, namely:

 the 60-year-old foreigner as a leading member of the organization, who had undertaken the transport, storage, safekeeping and finding of drug suppliers

Or the 49-year-old foreigner who was in charge of storing, storing, transporting and trafficking drugs, mainly to his compatriots, who then trafficked her to the center of Athens

 the 45-year-old foreigner who was in charge of storing, storing and trafficking drugs and

 the 30-year-old citizen who was in charge of storing and storing drugs

Characteristics of the action of the members of the criminal organization were:

• the selection of houses – for drug storage – near the wider center of Athens, in order for the sale and purchase of drugs to take place quickly

• the different types of drugs, in order to satisfy a wider range of buyers and finally

• the composition of the criminal organization, ie cooperation between foreigners and locals in order to increase the clientele

What was found in the investigations

During searches, in vehicles and houses in Athens and in Agios Anargyros, were found and confiscated:

• raw hemp weighing -16- kilos and -250.5- grams
• processed hemp (chocolate) weighing -1.333- grams
• hashish oil weighing -750- grams
• cocaine weighing -198.7- grams
• -16- vials of anabolic substance
• white powder of unknown chemical composition weighing -184- grams
• the amount of -4,770- euros
• pistol with magazine
• 3 pistol cartridges
• 3 I.X.E. cars
• 10 mobile devices
• 6 electronic precision scales
• electric plasticizer
• a variety of nylon and paper packaging
• 2 adhesive packing tapes

The arrested were taken to the Athens Public Prosecutor.
