The decision will determine the formula for determining the maximum price for each category of units (gas, lignite, hydroelectric and renewable sources), taking into account where there is fluctuation in the price of fuel and carbon dioxide emissions.
The provision stipulates that the emergency mechanism will be implemented from 1 July for a period of one year. The difference between the maximum prices and those formed on the Stock Exchange will be transferred to the Energy Transition Fund to finance the reduction of tariffs.
