The big problem at the moment is the unvaccinated, said on SKAI TV and in the show “Unmatched” the Professor of Pulmonology & Intensive Care, EKPA, Anastasia Kotanidou.
As he explained, things have been strained in some areas for quite some time now as there are people who refuse to use the only weapon we have and that is the vaccine.
According to Ms. Kotanidou, this is due to the increase in admissions to hospitals and ICUs. “What we have as a problem is the unvaccinated and they are the ones who go to the hospitals. “A minority are the vaccinated who are hospitalized”, he stated characteristically.
At the same time, the professor pointed out that the higher the percentage of vaccinated people, the lower the number of deaths and the number of patients in need of treatment.
Commenting on the possibility of a lockdown, Ms. Kotanidou replied that any closure will not yield more than the previous ones, adding that the measures are a matter for the government.
He described as difficult the decision to take additional measures for the unvaccinated, while for this year’s holidays he said that we will do Christmas like last year with care and with our acquaintances.
