A 24-year-old man is being taken out of prison, who sat in the seat of the Mixed Jury Court of Thessaloniki, after a complaint from his 14-year-old friend that he forced her to have sex with him, using threats against both herself and his family.
The court sentenced him to 6.5 years in prisonjudging him guiltyincluding, for sexual acts against a minor, pornography, bodily harm and threat (the first act in a felony degree and the rest misdemeanor), while acquitted him (mostly) of rape (felony).
According to the decision, he was recognized (by the votes of the jurors, 4-3) the mitigation of the subsequent good behavior, while the appeal has a suspensive effect on the execution of the sentence, under the conditions of appearing in a police station and prohibiting any form of communication with the complainant.
