Conviction against a driver taxi who refused to serve a blind girl as he brought her with him guide dogwas published for the first time in our country.

“Recently and for the first time in Greece, we reached a conviction against a professional taxi driver who refused to board a blind girl because of the driver dog he was handling, even using violence against the trained Labrador”, the blind man announced in a post on Facebook lawyer, Vangelis Avgoulas who represented the girl in court.

Finding a taxi for visually impaired people is a very difficult task, as was confirmed in a recent SKAI report.

The post of Vangelis Avgoulas in detail:

A while ago and for the first time in #Greece., We reached a conviction against a professional taxi driver who refused to board a blind girl because of the driver dog he was handling, even using violence against the trained Labrador.

After the exemplary crisis of Justice, the need for social dialogue for the #Inclusion and #Accessibility of blind handler dogs is as visible as the daily struggle of the disabled citizens of this country for the obvious!

I thank the Greek Guide Dogs Center for the trust in me and my colleagues Themis Sofos and Anastasia Giarenis for their valuable support in the case. Details will follow in a Press Release.
