With his knowledge, analytical thinking and composure, as a professor of electoral sociology at EKPA, he was a teacher to thousands of students, some of whom later followed in his footsteps.
He had studied Mathematics and Probability Theory in Athens, Lausanne and Paris.
He had become known to the general public through his collaboration with television stations, where he gained the respect of the citizens with his accurate assessments and his ability to explain simply the most complex political issues.
Even today, it would be difficult to imagine elections in Greece without the presence of Ilias Nikolakopoulos.
He served throughout his life the values of the Left, was president of ASKI and was the scientific editor of the show History on the radio station Sto Kokkino.
