The former government representative showed symptoms of coronavirus Evangelos Antonaros, resulting in judgment it was necessary to airlift him from Patmos to Crete, as he felt strongly unwell.
Specifically, shortly before 8 am on Saturday, the Air Force C-130 aircraft that was transporting a patient from Patmos landed at the “Nikos Kazantzakis” airport in Heraklion, Crete.
The PA’s overnight operation has begun the manufacture at midnight, when the doctor of the Patmos Health Center informed the EKAB that a patient attending on the island was feeling very unwell, as a result of a respiratory infection (Covid-19).
The mechanism was immediately mobilized with all the necessary special protective means for the care of the patient and his air transport, initially with a Super Puma helicopter that was directed to the Patmos heliport and immediately afterwards to the “Diagoras” airport. After arrival in Rhodes, patient, doctor and rescuers of EKAV transferred on a C-130 aircraft.
The 71-year-old politician is undergoing a molecular test to determine if his symptoms match those of the coronavirus, in order to immediately treat the active infection.
