The risk is very high for a fire today, Sunday, July 3, in several areas. Specifically, they are at level 4 Attica, Kythira, Boeotia, Corinth, Argolis, eastern Aegean islands, Evia, Achaia, Ilia, Messinia, Laconia and Arcadiawhile at level 3 there are many more areas.
According to the General Secretariat of Civil Protection, in the regions Attica, Evia, Boeotia, Corinth, Argolis, Arcadia, Achaia, Ilia, Messinia, Laconia and the islands of Samos, Ikaria, Chios, Psara, Mytilini and Kythira the 2nd stage of operational readiness of the P.S. and there will be aerial surveillance patrols, as well as patrols by Fire, Police and Military forces.
In addition, the staff of the Fire Services of the above Regional Units are put on partial alert, from Ω/07:30΄ on 03 July 2022, in order to deal with the increased service demands, which may arise due to a very high risk of fire (risk category 4) .
An appeal is addressed to our fellow citizens:
- Be especially careful and avoid any activity that could cause a fire.
- To monitor forest fire prevention information available on the website and official accounts of the Fire Service, Facebook and Twitter.
- In the event that they notice a fire, they should immediately notify the Fire Service by dialing 199.
It is emphasized that no entry citizens to nationals woods and forestsas in Parnitha and Hymettos.

According to the Fire Risk Prediction Map issued by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection, for tomorrow Sunday, a very high risk of fire is predicted in many areas of central and southern Greece, as well as in several Aegean islands. Tomorrow will be the first very difficult day of the fire season!
For the special conditions that are expected to prevail tomorrow and will favor the occurrence and expansion of fires, the staff of the Fire Department and all Civil Protection forces have been put on alert.
Air surveillance patrols will also be increased, as well as patrols by Fire, Police and Military forces.
We emphasize that, in areas of increased risk, entry into national forests and forests is prohibited.
We are in the heart of fire season and it is necessary for all of us to be very careful.
