The Romanian firefighters were thrown into the battle with the flames from the very first days they came to Greece.
The Romanian firefighters were accepted just last Saturday at the Fire Academy, as part of the launch of the 🇪🇺 pre-installation program for European firefighters from six countries in Greece.
The fires that break out every day did not leave them the slightest chance to stay with… their hands crossed.
They attempted the fire that broke out in Schimatari, where the authorities even had to proceed with a precautionary evacuation of the settlement of Agios Georgios, in Delesi. 70 firefighters, 17 vehicles, four aircraft and helicopters as well as two groups of hikers responded to the scene.
The Romanian embassy has released a touching video of a Romanian firefighter saving a small sheep from certain death.
