by

His mother launched an appeal to locate her son. “I beg you, find my son. Do what you can, I beg you!” she said through tears.

His relatives are watching with bated breath what is unfolding in the last 24 hours in Greece Martin Jovanovski who has been missing for four days, as he was swept away with his company by sea currents on Saturday afternoon at Mytis beach in Poseidi, Halkidiki.

The anxiety of his close family environment has hit red and they themselves talking to Voria.gr they describe details about his life but also about his favorite hobby, the ballet. At the same time, they say that they have not lost hope and believe that Martin will be found.

Martin was born on December 27, 1990 and is currently 31 years old and not 28 as previously reported. She loves ballet and has graduated from the Higher School of Ballet in Skopje, where he lives, while working in a meat industry. At the same time, he had worked occasionally in Malta.

The relatives categorically tell Voria.gr how he knew how to swim well demolishing what has seen the light of day in the past few days.

For so many days we have been going through a really very difficult period that cannot be described in words, but we have the hope that our Martin will finally be found alive and in good health“, emphasize the relatives of the boy who decided to come to Greece for vacation and for his friend Ivan’s birthday.

They add that Martin had gone to Halkidiki with one group of about 10 people for a holiday and to celebrate the birthday of 30-year-old Ivan, who was the one who dived in to save him when he was shouting for help with their other friend, 25-year-old Vasil, when they were swept away by the currents of the sea.

The relatives appeal to everyone not to stop the search, while they describe in a trembling voice that Martin is a good and nice kid who just went on a trip with his friends to Greece. “He did not abuse and tried to keep in good shape“, they note.

It should be noted that the family’s anxiety is constantly increasing, as they have been informed that according to the current legislative framework in Greece, the Coast Guard ceases the search for the missing persons after 72 hours of searching.

When Martin’s mother found out about her son’s disappearance, she was in the US to visit her other son, where he works as a chef, but last night she arrived in Thessaloniki and today she went to Nea Skioni to be next to the search for the trace of her beloved Martin.

Earlier, the mother appealed to locate her son. “I am begging you, find my son. Do what you can, I beg you!“, she said with tears.

The search by volunteers to locate the 31-year-old Martin in the wider sea area in Poseidi continues today, but without result. The Coast Guard has stopped the search for the time being due to weather conditions.

Now, hopes have dwindled dramatically.
