Barrage of checks by financial police – Overtime workers in cafes – bars – restaurants

On November 6-7 and 26-28, November 2021, the Financial Police Directorate and the Financial Police Sub-Directorate of Northern Greece carried out inspections in stores of health interest in Attica and Thessaloniki for the observance of the insurance-labor and tax legislation.

A total of 21 stores were inspected and violations were confirmed in 15 of them.

In particular, during the inspections it was found:

In Attica,

in a cafeteria-confectionery, to employ an overtime worker,
in a restaurant, the non-issuance of seven (7) receipts, worth 229 euros,
in a restaurant – pub, the non-issuance of nine (9) receipts, worth 603.49 euros,
in a tavern – fish tavern, the non-issuance of three (3) receipts, worth 307 euros,
in a cafeteria – confectionery – snack bar, to employ six (6) employees outside working hours,
in a cafe – restaurant, to employ an overtime worker and
in a cafe-bar, to employ five (5) employees outside working hours.

In Thessaloniki,

in a cafeteria, the non-issuance of five (5) receipts, worth 44.50 euros,
in a restaurant, to employ two (2) employees outside working hours,
in a restaurant, to employ six (6) employees outside working hours,
in snack bars, to employ three (3) employees out of working hours,
in a cafe – confectionery, to employ eight (8) employees outside working hours,
in a cafe-bar, the non-issuance of three (3) receipts, worth 28.50 euros,
in a cafeteria, the non-issuance of three (3) receipts, worth 24.50 euros and
in a cafe-bar, the non-issuance of two (2) receipts, worth 40 euros.
At the same time, controls were carried out for the implementation of the measures to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus, to a total of 595 customers and 151 employees, without finding any violations.

For all cases, the competent services are informed (S.E.P.E., D.O.Y., P.E.K.A.) for the imposition of the corresponding administrative sanctions.
