A total of 447 traffic checks of drivers and vehicles were carried out and 321 violations were confirmed, for which the corresponding administrative fines were imposed.
Targeted actions and specialized traffic controls of the Attica Traffic Directorate were carried out on a daily basis throughout the week of July 11 to 17, 2022, in the area of ​​the coastal E.O. Athens-Sounio, with the aim of dealing with improvised races, as well as other dangerous violations that lead to traffic accidents, disrupt the safety of transportation and the smooth and safe movement of citizens.
A total of 447 traffic checks of drivers and vehicles were carried out and 321 violations were confirmed, for which the corresponding administrative fines were imposed.
In more detail, the violations confirmed were:
• 98 for speeding
• 11 for deprivation of driving license
• 11 for driving under the influence of alcohol
• 1 for improvised matches
• 3 for a red light violation
• 1 for noise violations
• 5 to demonstrate skills
• 4 for abnormal maneuvers
• 2 for mobile phone use
• 30 for not wearing a helmet
• 12 for not using a seat belt
• 143 for other violations
In addition, 92 driver’s licenses, 54 vehicle licenses and 18 pairs of license plates were revoked.
Finally, 1 vehicle was transferred.
Controls will continue with the same intensity in other areas of Attica, which show increased and dangerous delinquency.
