Every day, dozens of complaints from residents and animal lovers fall into the void and are put on a waiting list since the stray animals in the shelter in the Municipality of Ziros remain to this day ossified, malnourished and in miserable living conditions. A shelter that has been subsidized to become a standard place of hospitality and yet the authorities are indifferent, leaving the animals sick and often dying helplessly.

The conditions that are captured are really shocking as wooden houses that are covered with nylon have been placed in the area and the rain makes things more difficult for the dozens of animals that live there.

The specific area from which the photos come is a makeshift installation created in collaboration with the Municipality with an animal welfare organization in the area in order to gather dozens of strays that circulate and usually cause a multitude of reactions from citizens.

According to information, there is care for feeding the animals with sources from the Municipality of Ziros, they note that this space is a temporary solution and emphasize that it has nothing to do with the modern and fully equipped shelter that will be built and will operate in the area.

Until then, however, these animals will remain in these conditions that have been circulating on the internet for the last few hours, provoking strong reactions from animal lovers and associations.
