DEDDIE: Intensive restoration work for the damage to the energy network in North-Eastern Attica

by

With the immediate mobilization of DEDDIE crews, 90 substations were re-electrified until today at noon, achieving the re-electrification of 6,700 consumers.

Intensive work to restore the damage to the Electricity Network is carried out by DEDDEE in Northern and Eastern Attica. DEDDIE’s crews were on foot from the first moment of the catastrophic fire in Penteli, continuing at an intensive pace until now the work of restoring the damage to the Network.

In more detail, since the devastating fire, 2 Medium Voltage lines in the area had been shut down since last Tuesday night, which this morning amounted to 4 Medium Voltage Lines, supplying 210 substations, affecting approximately 15,000 consumers.

Also, with the data so far, the need has arisen for the immediate replacement of approximately 100 Medium and Low Voltage poles and the construction of 5 Medium Voltage Substations from the outset due to total destruction. However, with the immediate mobilization of DEDDIE crews, until today at noon 90 substations were re-electrified, achieving the re-electrification of 6,700 consumers.

As it appears from the inspection of the Network up to now, in the places where access has been granted to the DEDDIE crews and on the condition that no new damages occur, it is estimated that by the afternoon approximately 90 more substations will be re-energized.

There are more than 300 technical staff on site (DEDDIE workshops and collaborating contractors) with 120 vehicles and project machinerywhich are working feverishly at all points where access is possible, as up to this time the extinguishing work continues.
