Kikilias: Practical support for the average Greek family – Zacharakis: For the first time we have such a wide network of support for domestic tourism
The doubling of beneficiaries for the “Tourism for All” program was officially announced by the Ministry of Tourism. After intervention of Kyriakos Mitsotakisthe number of beneficiaries doubled from 200,000 to 400,000, while the fund for the specific program increases by 30 million euros.

By decision of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the “Tourism for All” program is strengthened with an additional 30 million euros, with the total budget amounting to 61 million euros – from 31 million euros that were originally budgeted – and the total beneficiaries, for the current year, amounting to 400,000.
The new digital vouchers – 200,000 in number – will be redeemable by beneficiaries from mid-September onwards, until June 2023.
They concern our fellow citizens, who have already submitted an application on the online platform vouchers.gov.grwhich closed at midnight on Thursday, June 21, and there will be no winners in the electronic lottery that will take place, until the beginning of next week, for the distribution of the first 200,000 digital checks.
The new program confirms in practice the Government’s commitment to support households affected by the imported energy and inflationary crisis and is part of the wider planning of the Ministry of Tourism to strengthen domestic tourism.
It is recalled that the new upgraded program, “Tourism for All” provides for an increased individual subsidy to 150 euros for accommodation costs, a digital payment method, on-site compensation for business owners and an enhanced subsidy of 200 euros for our fellow citizens with disabilities.
The Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikiliasstated:
“By the decision of the Prime Minister, the beneficiaries of the program for 2022 now increase to 400,000, in yet another practical support for the average Greek family, professionals and workers in the tourism industry. In this way, at the same time, we strengthen our effort to extend the tourist season, to stimulate winter tourism, for the city break, for tourism all year round”.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Sophia Zacharakisstated:
“For the first time, we have such a broad network of support to boost domestic tourism twelve months a year. We support the right of our fellow citizens to holidays, especially the most vulnerable. And we continue to strengthen the dynamics of domestic tourism”.
