In the second degree, the well-known director will be tried for three complaints of rape.

In the appeal for two parts of the decision of the Mixed Jury Court of Athens on the case Dimitris Lignadis the appeals prosecutor Vasiliki Halva proceeded.
The public prosecutor filed an appeal for the part of the decision concerning the acquittal of the director sentenced to 12 years in prison for one of the three complainants. According to information, the public prosecutor considers that it emerged from the hearing, the witnesses and the testimony of the plaintiff himself that the act has been carried out.
However, Mrs. Halva also proceeded to appeal the amount of the sentences imposed on Dimitris Lignadis for the two cases of rape for which he was convicted.
The public prosecutor considers that greater sentences should have been imposed in both cases due to the despicability and gravity of the act, the damage it caused to the victims, but also the exploitation of the trust of each victim due to their minors.
After the appeal, Dimitris Lignadis will be tried in the second instance, while until then he will remain free as the appeal does not affect the part of the decision concerning the suspension of the execution of his sentence.
