Metro: Tests begin on the extension to Piraeus – Changes to line 3

In traffic regulations on its routes Line 3 of the Metro due to the test routes for the extension of the said line to Piraeus, STA.SY is proceeding. In particular, from Saturday 30/07/2022 until Sunday 07/08/2022 and from 27 – 28/08/2022 the Metro stations “NIKAIA”, “KORYDALLOS” and “AG. BARBARA” will remain closed and Line 3 will operate in the section “AIRPORT – AG. MARINA”.

The traffic regulations on Line 3 of the Metro come into force, due to the performance of dynamic tests from the Ag station. Marinas to the Municipal Theater, in the context of the upcoming operation of the extension of the Line to Piraeus.

Passengers during the above time intervals will be served at the St. Marina – Nice from the temporary bus line “X50 Ag. Marina – Nice”, in the creation of which OASA is proceeding.

The time distance of the vehicles during peak hours will be 6 minutes.

Bus line X50

The starting point – ending point of the temporary bus line will be located in the designated area at St. Marina and specifically in the recess of Iera Odou (direction to Athens) and the route will be as follows:

From the specially designed area at the Metro Station Ag. Marina, right Dodecanese, right Byronos, left 28th of October, left El. Venizelou continuation of Taksiarchon to pl. Eleftherias, then as the 809 moves right Athens, right P. Ralli – Anakreontos, left Gemelos, left Tzavella, left Grevenon, right P. Ralli, right pl. Davaki -Pindou, perpendicular to P. Ralli, continuation pl. Davaki – Pindou, right of Athena, pl. Eleftherias right Diamantidi – Dimitrakopoulou, continuation of Chania, left Mag. Alexandrou, right El. Venizelou, continuation of El. Venizelou, right Sacred road and starting point – terminus St. Ag. Marina.
