What sweets from your childhood do you miss? Submit your story

by

A cup of tea with crumbs from a madeleine was all it took to launch Marcel Proust on a journey into the past, in his monumental work “In Search of Lost Time”.

As for the columnist Sheet Gregorio Duvivier, childhood smells like hydrogenated fat and artificial fruit aroma. The advantage of the industrialized age, he says, is that each supermarket becomes a time machine.

In both cases, affective memory is responsible for the trip, a topic that has become fashionable in the world of gastronomy and which is usually linked to family food, grandmother’s recipes and dishes prepared by the mother.

THE Sheet wants to know from you, reader, which sweets remind you of childhood – it could be a recipe from your family or something bought in the markets. Which sweets do you miss the most and why?

Submit your answer in this form. Some answers will be published by Sheet.
