MyAttica: The new application of the Region of Attica for digital communication with citizens

The new “MyAttica” application for mobile phones provides a new possibility for citizens to communicate digitally with the Region of Attica.

According to an announcement by the Region, “MyAttica” offers specialized information on topics of interest and personalized service around everyday issues.

The creation of the “MyAttica” mobile application is part of the expansion and upgrade actions of the Multichannel Service System for Citizens and Businesses of the Region of Attica (Citizen’s Guide, Digital Services, Telephone Service Line 1512, Digital Appointments, etc.) and is included in the general Digital Transformation actions promoted by the Autonomous Directorate of Online Information and Digital Services, under the coordination of the Deputy Governor of Electronic Government M. Kouri.

The governor of Attica, G. Patoulis, referring to the new service, pointed out: “The applications of new technology give added value to the specialized services that are utilized for the convenience of all of us. With the “MyAttica” application, the Region of Attica strengthens two-way communication with citizens. After all, this should be one of the main goals of Local Government: the direct interconnection of its services with the final recipient, i.e. all its citizens.”

How the new “MyAttica” app works

By downloading the application through the largest “stores” that distribute digital applications (applestore, googleplay), every citizen can choose the thematic categories and the geographical units for which they want to learn the developments but also obtain an overall picture of the project and the actions of the Attica Region.

At the same time, he can gain access to the Citizen’s Guide, the ultimate digital environment of services and procedures of the Region of Attica, so that he can be informed in a valid and timely manner about the way he is served.

Finally, each user of the application, having the possibility to report in real time problems that he identifies and related to the roads of Attica, becomes a member of an alliance capable of dealing with his own daily problems first and foremost.

The application is provided free of charge, and can be searched with the word “MyAttica” on the digital application distribution platforms (applestore and googleplay).
