Death of 26-year-old in elevator: What the firefighter who freed him says – Shocked friends and relatives

The 26-year-old student he entered the elevator alone, holding the refrigerator as a result, from the turbulence that came from the movement of the elevator, the refrigerator crushed him by “hitting” his carotid artery and the young man met a horrible death.

Men from the Serres Fire Department managed to free him and he was taken by an ambulance crew to the Serres General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Preliminary investigation is carried out by the AT. Serron.

The firefighter who freed the unfortunate young man from the elevator speaking to ERT said:

“Unfortunately when we got to the scene we found the elevator between the 1st and 2nd floors and inside it was a person carrying a household appliance which for some reason apparently moved into the shaft and came and crushed the man inside causing his death injury”.

Antonis’ colleague told ERT Serron: “He had asked us to help him move. A colleague went. The child was inside the elevator and the refrigerator hit him in the carotid artery. Our colleague could not do anything because the elevator door was closed until the firemen arrived. We don’t know what happened. What can you say? The bad moment. I am also angry with myself because he told us to help him and only one went. He was a very good boy. I can not believe it”.
