Today’s weather: At 38 degrees the mercury – In which areas will it rain

A few clouds transiently increased with local rains until the afternoon they are expected today in Macedonia, eastern Thessaly, Sporades and Thrace. In the rest of the country, the weather will be generally clear and only in the midday and afternoon hours will clouds develop in the continental areas and mainly in the mountains will local rains occur.

Winds will blow from north directions 4 to 6 Beaufort.

THE temperature will drop slightly in the north and east of the country and it will reach 35 to 36 degrees and locally in the western continental 37 to 38 degrees Celsius.

MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: A few clouds temporarily increased in places, with temporary rain in the eastern and southern parts of central Macedonia, eastern Macedonia and possibly Thrace.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 19 to 35 degrees.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WESTERN Mainland, WESTERN PELOPONNISE
Weather: Generally clear with a few clouds, which will increase in the midday and afternoon hours in continental areas and local rains will occur mainly in the mountains.
Winds: Northeast 3 to 4 and in the Ionian northwest locally up to 5 Beaufort. From the afternoon westerlies 3 to 5 and locally in the northern Ionian 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 19 to 37 and locally up to 38 degrees Celsius.

THESSALIA, EASTERN CONTINENTA, EASTERN PELOPONNISUS
Weather: In eastern Thessaly and the Sporades, a few clouds are forecast, temporarily increasing until noon with occasional rain.
In the rest of the areas, generally clear with local clouds in the midday and afternoon hours, when local rains will occur mainly in the mountains.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 21 to 36 and locally up to 37 degrees Celsius.

CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Clear.
Winds: Northerly 4 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 23 to 32 and in southern Crete up to 35 degrees Celsius.

EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE
Weather: Generally clear.
Winds: North northwest 4 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 23 to 35 degrees Celsius.

EUBOEA
Weather: Generally clear with a few clouds temporarily increasing until the afternoon mainly in the north, where localized rain is possible.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 23 to 34 degrees Celsius.

ATTICA
Weather: Generally clear. Clouds will develop during the midday and afternoon hours and a few local showers may occur.
Winds: North northeast 3 to 4 and in the east up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 24 to 35 degrees Celsius.

THESSALONIKI
Weather: Generally clear with a few temporary clouds until the morning hours.
Winds: North northwest 4 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 22 to 34 degrees Celsius.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW TUESDAY 02-08-22
Generally clear weather with a few local clouds in the Ionian and continental areas, which in the midday and afternoon hours will temporarily increase in the northeast and in the rest of the mountains.

Winds in the west will be variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the afternoon hours in the Ionian northwest up to 5 Beaufort. In the east they will blow from northerly directions 3 to 5 Beaufort, in the Aegean up to 6 and gradually locally 7 Beaufort.

The temperature will drop slightly in the east, where in the mainland, southern Crete and the Dodecanese it will reach 35 to 36 degrees and in the rest of the island country 32 to 34 degrees Celsius. In western Greece it will reach 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.
