THE Luis Marcelo Arce Mosqueira – son of the president of Bolivia Louis Arce – who was arrested on Thursday accused of “domestic violence” – was released on a court order, which provides for psychological support sessions for a period of five months.
During the hearing, the plaintiff appeared in court accompanied by her lawyer and asked for the charges to be dropped. She had produced a doctor’s certificate granting her 12 days sick leave from work.
The prosecution asked for the defendant’s pre-trial detention for 180 days, but the judge had a different opinion and released the 33-year-old on the condition that he attend psychological support sessions for five months.

After being informed of the case, the Bolivian president Louis Arcewhose five-year term ends in November, was content to say that his children are responsible for their actions.
Bolivia’s outgoing president, a father of three, is himself facing an investigation following a complaint by a former mining and mining authority official who claims he impregnated her and abandoned her without acknowledging the paternity of the child she gave birth to in 2024.
