Police officers of the General Police Directorate Thessaloniki carry out daily targeted checks to identify people involved in illegal activities transportation of foreigners inside the country.

In a cinematic way two traffickers were arrested of foreigners in the early hours of Tuesday in Thessaloniki.

Specifically, police officers of the Department of Prevention and Suppression of Crime of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki, early today, located in the area of ​​Panorama, I.X.E. car with an 18-year-old foreign driver and a 19-year-old female passenger, who disobeyed a parking sign issued to them and developed speed, violating red signals and making dangerous maneuvers.

The car was stopped in the area of ​​Kalamaria, after impact on a metal construction site doorwhile the two foreigners tried to escape on foot, but were arrested despite the strong resistance they put up.

The check carried out inside the vehicle revealed the illegal transport of six (6) people, three of whom were found in the luggage compartment, all without travel documents.

Those arrested, with the case file they filed against the police officers of the Immigration Management Department of Agios Athanasios, will be taken to the competent Prosecutor.
