The fight against forest fires continues: 31 in one 24 hours – Very high risk also on Wednesday – See the “orange areas” on the map

For another day this summer, the forces of the fire brigade were called to deal with dozens of fires in the space of a few hours. Specifically, according to an official information from the Fire Department, 31 incidents occurred in a 24-hour period forest fireswith the response of the forces being immediate and most outbreaks being dealt with effectively a few moments after the start of the fire.

A little while ago, the fire in a grassy area in the area was brought under partial control Geni of Rethymnon where 20 firefighters with 6 vehicles and a group of pedestrians rushed to the scene while the fire was confined to a forest area in the area Tsakatoura Grevena.

Local investigative offices, as well as Divisions of the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes (D.A.E.E.) are investigating the causes of the fires.
