Beer Day: Discover 5 new breweries to celebrate the date in SP

If August is known nationally for not having holidays, it brings an excuse right from the start to drink a good beer and at least enjoy a happy hour. This Friday, the 5th, is celebrated Beer Day — a date created in 2007 in California, United States, and always celebrated with a “sextou”, on the first Friday of August.

With the end of the quarantine and the improvement in the rates of the Covid-19 pandemic, São Paulo saw the emergence of new breweries and specialized bars, which can be good requests to toast on the date.

Colab Cultura Cervejeira, for example, opened in April in Vila Pompeia and mixes the taste for barley with music, in addition to using the space to teach those who want to start a production at home. A few months earlier, in February, Heilige Pocket opened another store in São Paulo, in Pinheiros, also in the western region.

Who also took advantage of the beginning of the year to reopen the taps, after a failed attempt because of the pandemic in the first half of 2021, was the Cybber Lab, in Moema. But there is more. Check below five new addresses to celebrate Beer Day in the capital of São Paulo.

NEW BEER BARS IN SP

Colab Cultura Beerjeira

The space, which already housed the Sinnatrah School Brewery, became Colab, which brings together a specialized bar, a brewery school and a store where it is possible to buy supplies and equipment for the homemade production of the drink. The 270 ml barley wine costs R$22, and the sour with cambuci in the same size costs R$21.

Cyber ​​Lab

Previously the place was a brewery for other brands, but now it houses the Cybeer Lab, which opened its doors in February this year – a first attempt took place last year, but was frustrated because of Covid. On the author’s menu, the Cloudy New England Ipa, 473 ml, costs R$ 35, while the Follow The Sun Double New England Ipa is sold for R$ 38. shrimp (R$ 43).

Bar Hideout

Bar of the Juan Caloto brewery, the Esconderijo opened in December and welcomes the public with rustic decor, reminiscent of 1970s western movies. The 473 ml lemongrass Omi Odara costs R$28. The Ipa Juan Caloto Wild West West Coast of the same size costs R$37.

Heilige Pocket

The bar is one of those where the customer serves himself directly. From a mobile application, people buy credits, which release the tap of the chosen beer. The charge is made per milliliter of drink. For every 500 ml of the brand’s American pale ale, for example, the amount charged is R$ 13.59. The same amount of weissbier costs R$11.

Created in 2020 as a factory by the couple Julia Fraga and Fábio Comolatti, the space was renovated at the end of last year and started to receive bohemians. The beers are priced from R$22 to R$68. A liter of Ahhhhhhroma – American Wheat costs R$48. The same amount of Flip The Switch costs R$65. On the food menu, one option is the salad. with strips of drumstick served with parmesan (R$ 35).
