She was admitted to the surgery clinic and was treated under police guard as it was found that she did not have the necessary documents to justify her legal stay in the country.

The 47-year-old bride was referred to be tried at the Autonomous Three-member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki, but the trial of the case was postponed because the witness – a neighbor who saw the incident – was missing. The defendant was released pending trial, while the court imposed a restrictive condition not to approach the victim within 100 meters. She said that the 71-year-old woman was discharged and is staying at her daughter’s house.

A 56-year-old man who was arrested by AT Thermaikos police officers is charged with attempted domestic simple bodily harm, threats against his wife and insults. His wife previously reported the incident to the police. She said her husband started cursing at her, calling her a bitch, that he wanted to eat her throat and she testified that he tried to hit her but failed because she avoided him. “The reason he took these actions was because his wife threw a piece of bread in the trash. The patient reported that the husband had taken similar actions in the past,” the relevant case file states.

The accused was referred to be tried at the Autoforous Three-member Misdemeanor Court from where he requested and received a deadline to prepare his defense. “I will stay with my aunt in Kalamaria until the situation calms down,” he said before the court, which lifted his detention on the conditions of moving away from the marital home and not approaching the victim within 100 meters.

Due to the absence of the witnesses, the hearing of the specific case which was introduced today in the same court was adjourned. “We don’t live under the same roof as the lady,” said the defendant before the Three-member Motor Vehicle Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki. The detention came with the following restrictive conditions: Prohibition of approaching the victim at a distance of less than 200 meters and removal from the marital home.
