ELSTAT: A 2.7% decrease was recorded in car sales in July 2022

A decrease of 2.7% was noted by Car Sales in the country in July this year, as, as announced by ELSTAT, 20,456 cars (new or used foreign) were released for the first time, compared to 21,018 that were released in the corresponding month of the year 2021 (an increase of 10.3% was presented in July 2021 compared to the corresponding month of 2020). New cars amounting to 11,706 compared to 11,611 in the corresponding month of 2021, showing an increase of 0.8%.

The 7 months, 131,476 cars (new or used foreign) were released for the first time compared to 126,661 released in the corresponding period of 2021, showing an increase of 3.8% (an increase of 28.7% was shown in the 7th month of 2021 compared to the corresponding period of 2020). New cars amount to 71,541 compared to 75,118 released in the 7th month of 2021, showing a decrease of 4.8%.

Also in July, 7,491 new ones were launched motorcycles displacement over 50 cc (new and used abroad) compared to 6,300 in the corresponding month of 2021, showing an increase of 18.9% (an increase of 10.1% had been shown in July 2021 compared to the corresponding month of 2020). New motorcycles totaled 7,002 compared to 5,700 launched in July 2021, showing an increase of 22.8%.

In the 7th month, 39,177 new motorcycles with a displacement of more than 50 cc (new and used foreign) were released compared to 31,077 released in the corresponding period of 2021, showing an increase of 26.1% (an increase of 36.4% had been presented in the 7th month of 2021 compared to corresponding to 2020). New motorcycles totaled 36,211 compared to 28,266 launched in 7M 2021, showing an increase of 28.1%.
