Despite impressive sales growth, Elon Musk’s company remains a “dwarf” compared to the “giants” of the automotive industry
THE Tesla has now manufactured over three million cars.
This is what the CEO of the company wrote on his personal twitter account on Sunday, Elon Muskwho pointed out that about 1/3 of production comes from the company’s factory in Shanghai, China, where one million vehicles have been built.
“Congratulations to Giga Shanghai for building the millionth car! The total number of Teslas manufactured exceeds 3 million,” Musk wrote on Twitter.

“Dwarf” in front of the “giants” of the automotive industry
As CNBC recalls, Musk’s announcement comes after months of back-to-back lockdowns and parts shortages in China, which threatened Tesla’s vehicle production. He also recalls the importance of the factory in Shanghai, which was inaugurated in 2018.
