At the same time, as requested in the prosecutor’s proposal, the Council of Misdemeanors also decided to extend the detention time of the 12 accused for another 6 months as the six months of their temporary detention was completed at the beginning of August.
The 12 defendants for the murderous attack that claimed the life of 19-year-old Alkis Kampanos are referred to the audience of the Mixed Jury Court to be tried according to the will of the Criminal Council of Thessaloniki.
Accepting the prosecutor’s proposal, the defendants are referred for the following acts:
– Defendants for manslaughter, committed (in the case of Alkis) and attempted (in the case of the first injured young man), jointly,
– one of them for attempted homicide in the case of the second injured young man, and the remaining 11 as simple accomplices in the specific act,
– all for assault and possession of objects that can cause bodily harm, with the aggravating provisions of the Sports Law, as well as for illegal carrying and use of weapons.
