Speaking to SKAI in the morning, his lawyer deputy mayor, Dimitris Dimosgave a different version of the case.

He claimed the animal had been injured after being attacked by a wolfthe defendant put it on the cart to transport it and give it first aid, but for some unknown reason the donkey’s foot fell on the asphalt and he did not notice it immediately.

“My principal’s position is that this animal was attacked by a wolf. He was injured in his sternum, he put it in the carriage of his car to go and give him first aid. On the way, unknown for what reason (…) and without apparently realizing it, the animal’s foot fell on the asphalt, the hair inside the cart holding the rest. It crawled for how many meters it crawled and then when it fell the whole animal was noticed by the alleged perpetrator and if you see the car it is stopped at 10 meters”. said Mr. Dimitris Dimos.

He also said that internet platforms have been flooded with blackmailing and threatening messages against the deputy mayor and that, as in other cases, “he is being tried and sentenced in the desert”.

He also mentioned that the 63-year-old deputy mayor could not have woken up one day and said “let’s drag a donkey through the village for everyone to see” and that no one investigated the accident version.
