The debate on the bill for the remediation of the Elefsina Shipyards has begun in the Parliament, with workers demonstrating in favor of its passage.
It is a common phenomenon that there are gatherings and demonstrations outside the Parliament, while inside the building there is a debate and a passing of a bill.
What is not common, but happened on Wednesday 31 August, is for a demonstration to be held in support of the bill. Most of the time the gathered are there to argue, however, this time citizens gathered at the Syntagma supporting the bill for the clean-up of the Elefsina Shipyards.
“We vote YES to the Law”, read one of the banners of those gathered, thus showing their support for all the changes and interventions promoted by the bill of the Minister of Development, Adonis Georgiadis, so as to save the Elefsina Shipyards and by extension many job positions.
