Manhunt for the “gunmen” who injured children in Thebes – The perpetrators have been identified

by

Shootings are a frequent occurrence in areas near Roma camps, residents complain – The two children who were taken to the hospital are out of danger

The perpetrators of the bloody incident that took place on Tuesday afternoon in the Thebes neighborhood square, where two small children aged 7 and 5 were injured by gunshots, remain missing, writes the lamiareport.gr.

The children, a girl and a boy respectively, were taken to Thebes Hospital, from where the police were also informed about the incident.

From the data so far handled by Security of Thebes, it is about a fight between Roma families, which developed into a fierce fight in which weapons were drawn. The children, of course, had nothing to do with the episode, but they happened to be playing carelessly in the square and ate stray shrapnel!

From the statements, the police have identified the perpetrators whom they are looking for in the context of the car accident.

The two children were initially hospitalized at Thebes Hospital, from where the boy was immediately discharged, as he only has abrasions, while the girl had to be taken to the “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital where he underwent surgery to remove the fragments and is reportedly out of danger in the ICU.

Similar incidents are reported by the residents to happen very often in settlements where Roma live and it was only a matter of time – as they say – before a serious accident happened and this time with small children as victims…
