Registrations for the extended all day until 17:30 in Kindergartens and Primary schools.

The announcement and instructions for parents from the Ministry of Education:

From today, Thursday, September 1 to Monday, September 12, parents and guardians of kindergarten and elementary school students, who have joined the extended all-day program and will operate until 5:30 pm, are invited to contact the address of their school so that they can enroll their children, if they wish, in the extended full-day classes, in order for them to be formed on time and start their operation immediately, with the start of school.

It is recalled that the new educational program will include upgraded content, through activities such as educational robotics, experiments, rhetorical art, safe and creative Internet navigation, sports, traditional or modern dances, visual arts, crafts and constructions, learning musical instruments. Also, extra time is provided for learning, studying and playing at school.

Students are admitted without any enrollment criteria.

With the new, expanded in time and upgraded in quality, full-day, the free education benefits are strengthened, more free, creative time is ensured for the children at home since the study will be completed at school and an approximation of the school with the working hours of the parents is achieved.

The upgraded full-day program for the 2022-23 school year will be applied to 50% of the kindergarten and elementary school classes that currently operate as full-day classes, i.e. to approximately 5,000 classes in Athens, Thessaloniki and the surrounding area. For the selection of the school units, criteria such as the student population of the school, the number of students already studying full-time and the number of operating full-time departments were taken into account.
