Patras: Coroners Karakoukis and Kalogria testify about the deaths of Malena and Iris

Yesterday, the medical examiner Christina Tsakona testified that the death of the accused’s 3.5-year-old daughter was caused by liver failure, clarifying however that it could be due to a lack of oxygen.

With the depositions of medical examiners Karakoukis and Kalogria the investigative process is expected to continue today, for the case of the deaths of the three children in Patras with accused their mother, Roula Pispirigou.

Yesterday, the medical examiner testified Christina Tsakona who opined on the death of the accused’s 3.5-year-old daughter that it was caused by liver failure clarifying however that this may be due to a lack of oxygen.

He also testified pathologist Christos Eftychiadis, who had conducted the review of the histological data of the two girls. His conclusion is even included in that of Mr. Karakoukis and Mr. Kalogria, on the basis of which a criminal prosecution was brought for manslaughter by intent in a calm state of mind for the deaths of the two children.
