Two injured people who were transported by EKAV ambulance to the Volos Hospital, are the result of an explosion that occurred shortly before 9 this morning at a steakhouse on 2nd November Street in Volos. The 54-year-old owner was seriously injured and the employee carrying the bottle was slightly injured.
According to information, the explosion occurred in the kitchen area, during the change of the gas bottle, by the 54-year-old and under unknown circumstances.
As a result of the explosion, two people were injured, who were taken to the Volos Hospital with burns, while serious damage was caused inside the store, the window was broken and disturbance was caused by the sound of the explosion in the neighborhood.
Firefighters and police officers are at the scene, the explosion did not cause a fire and the situation, according to information, is under control.
According to cross-referenced information, the condition of one injured person, who is a 54-year-old store owner, is described as serious as he has burns on his face, neck, head, chest and hands and will probably be taken to a hospital that treats burns.
The 35-year-old also suffered burns to his face and hands and his condition is not life-threatening.
