The local community of Lamia remains shocked by the news of the death of a girl, just 14 years old in the hospital of Lamia.

The girl was suffering from coronavirus, her condition worsened and she was transported to the hospital, where she unfortunately passed away on the afternoon of Saturday, December 4.

According to the result of the forensic examination that was completed at noon, the death of the girl is due to pulmonary edema, while laboratory tests are also expected.

The tragic news shocked the whole country and its own people still can not realize that Sunday passed away.

In her pain, the girl’s family thanks everyone for their support. Their lawyer Sofia Stavraki with her statements today emphasizes that the family asks the journalists to respect her mourning.

The Prosecutor of Lamia has already ordered an investigation into the circumstances from which the girl disappeared. EDE has also been ordered by the 5th Health District.

As Mrs. Stavraki points out, the family has declared a show in order to support any accusation, if it is of course attributed. The family’s lawyer also denies that the 14-year-old’s parents did not comply with the measures against the coronavirus.

Friends and relatives will say goodbye to the unfortunate girl tomorrow Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Church of Agios Athanasios in Galaneika, Lamia. The burial of the 14-year-old will take place in Styrfaka of the municipality of Lamia.

The family wants instead of wreaths to financially support the poor fund of I.N. of Agios Athanasios.
