The centuries-old tree comes from an area in the prefecture of Achaia where ERGOSE railway projects are being built.
An ancient olive tree, more than 400 years old, now adorns the “heart” of the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki.
Inaugurating its presence at the 86th International Exhibition of Thessaloniki, ERGOSE SA proceeded to transplant a century-old olive tree at the HELEXPO facilities.
In particular, the centuries-old olive tree, originating from an area in the prefecture of Achaia where ERGOSE’s railway projects are being built, was moved and transplanted to a central point in the HELEXPO exhibition space, in a symbolic move in the context of the 86th TIF, which highlights not only the environmental sensitivity of company, but also the effort to preserve our natural and cultural heritage.
The replanting took place in the context of the innovative environmental program designed and implemented by ERGOSE for the rescue and replanting of centuries-old olive trees, which come from lands expropriated for the construction of railway projects.
