Citing news agencies, the Milliet newspaper on today’s front page writes about a “refugee convoy”. It refers to groups on Telegram and Facebook, which they monitor about 70,000 refugees, mainly from Syria, in which groups of 50 people each are being prepared to start a new wave of refugees. “You understand where this wave of refugees will go,” commented Manolis Kostidis. In fact, the location of the groups is in the area of ​​Istanbul. The goal is to leave Turkey.

“We have already experienced a wave of refugees… The news needs a lot of attention,” emphasized the SKAI correspondent in Istanbul.

It is recalled that the events in Evros began on February 28, 2020 when the Turkish government announced that it was unilaterally opening its borders to Greece for refugees and migrants seeking to reach the European Union to pass through. Simultaneously tens of thousands of refugees migrants arrived at the Greek-Turkish border along the river Evros. Transportation was done via white buses and taxis.

However, it is noted that since then the Evros fence has been extended and equipped with electronic systems for monitoring the border line.
