Impressive aerial display at Tanagra base

The fighter jet Rafale stole the show at this year’s Athens Flying Week 2022which is organized, today 17 and tomorrow 18 September, at the Tanagra air base.

The French-made fighter aircraft, recently acquired by the Greek Air Force, gave the visitors of the event a very satisfying taste of its capabilities by performing maneuvers during a tactical demonstration.

At the same time, the French Dassault, manufacturer of the Rafale, had a booth at the Athens Flying Week, giving the public the opportunity to learn all the “secrets” of the state-of-the-art aircraft.

But it was not only the Rafale as the Swiss F18C Hornet, the aircraft of TV Maverick from the movie Top Gun, also captivated the eyes of the approximately ten thousand spectators – according to the estimates of the organizers – who were at the 114th Fighter Wing in Tanagra.
