The mother of the 2nd Pyrgos High School student filed a lawsuit
Another incident of harassment of a student took place last Friday at the 2nd Gymnasium of Pyrgos, when according to information, a group of extracurriculars entered the school and threatened a student, while they also took the glasses he was wearing.
In fact, the harassment of the student continued the next day, Saturday, in the central square of Pyrgos, where the same group of people threatened the student again, as a result of which his mother filed a lawsuit at the Police Department of Ilia.
This serious incident, which comes to added to what has happened the previous period of time, led to the immediate reaction of both the school itself and the Director of Secondary Education of Ilia, Mr. Andreas Zervas.
Specifically yesterday at noon, Mr. Andreas Zervas had a meeting with the director of the school, Mr. Giorgos Komiotis, as well as with the teachers of the school unit, in order to take immediate measures, so that a similar event does not happen again and to protect the safety of the students who attend the 2nd Pyrgos High School.
Regarding this sensitive issue, the director of the 2nd Pyrgos High School, Mr. Giorgos Komiotis, pointed out in the “Patris” newspaper: “Today (as well as yesterday) we were informed by the student’s mother that on Friday, during the last hour of the program and while the child was in the toilet, extracurriculars threatened him and took his glasses. The child panicked and offered to give them money to return the glasses, which they did.
They took advantage of it the next day in the square, they spotted the child and harassed him again. His mother told us that she will press charges and I will also file a complaint with the relevant police station. Those who threatened the child as far as I know, one is last year’s student and has left the school, while the others I don’t know. The problem is social.”
