Three arrests for drugs in Agia Varvara – Big operation by EL.AS

Three arrests were made by the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of Attica Security during a major operation that took place yesterday, Friday, September 22, in the area of ​​Agia Varvara.

OPKE police officers and a police dog also participated in this operation, to dismantle a criminal drug trafficking ring.

In particular, two men aged 66 and 23 and a 28-year-old woman were arrested as members of a criminal organization active in drug trafficking. In addition, a 47-year-old member of the ring was identified and is being sought.

According to ELAS, in the context of investigating information, regarding the action of a criminal organization active in the supply, storage and further trafficking of quantities of cocaine, synthetic cannabinoid narcotic substance (BOOM) and pharmaceutical tablets in the wider area of ​​Agia Varvara, the members of the criminal organization were identified and located organization, achieving the certification of their criminal activity.

As ascertained by the police investigation, the defendants had founded and joined a criminal organization with methodical action, hierarchical structure and distinct roles. Specifically, the 66-year-old was the leader and was responsible for finding, transporting and trafficking the substances, supplying various traffickers in the wider area of ​​Western Attica. He also coordinated and supervised the other members of the gang.

The other members, supervised by the 66-year-old leader, were involved in the storage and safekeeping of the narcotics, as well as their trafficking.

In total, four houses were searched where they seized: 311.3 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of synthetic cannabinoid drug (BOOM), 166 g. brown powder of unknown chemical composition, a number of nylon packages for the distribution of drugs, 3 precision electronic scales, 14 medicinal tablets, a pistol with a magazine, 314 cartridges, a company car and the sum of 685 euros.

Those arrested were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
