The State’s policy regarding recruitment is not a policy to deal with unemployment, but a policy to cover the State’s needs in human resources, Minister of the Interior, Makis Voridis, told SKAI.
Yesterday, the cabinet approved 17,942 permanent recruitments in the State in 2023 and as Mr. Voridis mentioned, almost one in two positions of the approved permanent recruitments next year require a degree from AEI or TEI, as the emphasis is on university education and secondary education.
Mr. Voridis assured that for the recruitments the binding rule of one recruitment for each departure, which exists in the medium-term program, is observed.
He stated that at the moment the total number of employees in the State with any relationship amounts to 720,000 to 750,000 employees.
Asked about the bonus for public servants, he said that by March the money – which will be about one more salary per year – will have been given to 6,000 employees, who have been evaluated.
