Meatballs with ginger, garlic and honey – Fantastic and easy recipe

A recipe for fluffy meatballs, which you will make with the combination of minced pork and minced chicken

You can put them in a sandwich, in a bowl with vegetables and steamed rice or cauliflower rice.

What you will need:

  • 1 kg of lean minced pork
  • 1 kg of minced chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 5 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
  • 4 onion stalks, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch

How to make them:

  1. Combine all the meatball ingredients in a bowl and mix gently by hand until well combined.
  2. Make the meatballs and put them in a pan lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 8 minutes, turning them in between.
  4. While the meatballs are cooking, mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Pour them into a large non-stick pan and let them simmer for 5 minutes, until it thickens.
  5. Add the meatballs to the sauce and simmer for another 6-8 minutes, stirring to coat the meatballs with the sauce.
