Statement about dismantling of three gangs who operated using the student dormitories in Polytechnic University in Zografouwas carried out by the rector of NTUA.
“The situation in the old Zografou Student Hostel in Polytechnioupoli has been for a long time, but especially in the last two months, extremely dangerous due to the activity of a group of thugs who were circulating in the hostel”, emphasized Mr. Andreas Boudouvis.
He also pointed out that the students living in the hostel as well as the staff spoke of conditions of terror.
“I informed the competent authorities repeatedly about the situation and the need to immediately deal with the acute problem. Yesterday’s operation was imperative,” he said
“The Zografou Student Residence is going to be completely renovated and therefore it will soon be vacated. The relevant study, which was done with a donation from the Onassis Foundation, has been completed, and the funding is on its way to approval”, he concluded
