AADE: Second gas station lock through the Appodixi application

by

According to the complaint, the driver of the vehicle found that other money was paid and recorded on the receipt, and more was eventually recorded in the business’s tax system.

The app, Appodixi, of the Independent Public Revenue Authority, has made waves with “good morning”. After the lockout at a gas station, in Byron, which occurred ten days ago, following an anonymous complaint from a consumer, through the app, the complaints bell rang again in the control mechanism of AADE.

The named – this time – complaint concerned a gas station in Ag. Friday.

According to her, the driver of the vehicle found that other money was paid and recorded on the receipt he received, and others were finally recorded in the tax mechanism of the business.

When AADE inspectors went to the gas station to seal it, the business’s lawyer tried to dispute the evidence’s findings.

At that moment, however, a customer arrived, holding a receipt, dated 01/10/2022, worth 63 euros, in order to credit the points from the reward program offered by the company.

The auditors took the receipt and found on the spot that the value that had been transmitted to the AADE databases was only… 20 euros!

And that’s not all.

They also cross-checked the POS report with the tax mechanism’s file and found another 18 cases, in which the amounts of the receipts were falsified, at a rate of 90%, i.e. 1/10 of their real value!

They found another 15 cases, where the company had not transmitted the issued receipts to the AADE databases, through the E-SEND input – output system.
