Charity Race “I run and swim with the UK for HOPE” – Sunday, October 9

The Hellenic Frogmen Association under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and the Region of Attica and in cooperation with the Municipality of Piraeus and OPAN will organize a Charity Race for the association ELPIDA – Association of Friends of Children with Cancer “RUN AND SWIM WITH THE UKS
FOR HOPE” on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

A source of inspiration and the main purpose of this Sports Festival is the promotion of the selfless contribution of all of us to society and the spread of “good fight” as an integral part of all forms of sports activities.

The program includes a running route with distances of 1,000 meters and 5 km. as well as a 1,500m and 750m sea route.

Sunday 09 October 2022.

Match schedule:

Secretariat Operation: 08:00-09:15 a.m.
Technical briefing for Runners: 09:20-09:25 am.
Start of the 1,000m race: 09:30 am.
Start of the 5,000m race: 09:45 am.
Swimming Technical Briefing: 09:35-09:40 am.
Start of the 1,500m water race: 10:00 am.
750m breaststroke start: 10:45am
Collection of personal items from storage: 10:00-11:45 am.

The following participation options are offered:

a. Road Route of 1,000 meters and 5 kilometers starting from our offices in Piraeus – Municipal Beach Freattydos to Alexandra Square in Piraeus and ending at our offices in Piraeus – Municipal Beach Freattydos.

b. Sea Courses 1,500m and 750m in the Sea area of ​​Plaz Freattydos.

Participation right:

Men and women over 16 years old for the 5 km and over 18 years old for the 1,500m and 750m are eligible to participate.

The organization meets all the conditions and protocols of the General Secretariat of Sports for the disease COVID-19, as they will be in effect before the Games are held.

Through their participation, the athletes will send a strong message against childhood cancer, as the proceeds of the event will be allocated to the support of children with cancer and their families, at whose side the “ELPIDA” Association has been for over thirty years.

Registration Period – Registration Limit:

The registration period will end on Wednesday, October 5. The Competition has a total limit of 1,500 entries and in the event that this number is reached earlier, the registration – payment period will expire.

Recording mode:

Registrations will only take place online through the website and during the office hours.

The participation package includes:
• The participation number and lanyards.
• Hydration.
• Storage service.
• Souvenir of Participation.
• Souvenir T-shirt.
• Backpack for storing personal items.

For the best service and to avoid delays, participants can pick up their participation package on Monday 03/10, Wednesday 05/10, Friday 07/10 and Saturday 08/10 from 10:00 – 18:00 from the offices of the Association (Freattydos Beach)
