Payment of fees for transfer of passenger vehicle or two-wheeler is now safer and faster
Safer and faster is now the payment of fees for the transfer of a passenger vehicle or two-wheeler, as the possibility of electronic payment of fees is added to the digital vehicle transfer service. In particular, the possibility of issuing RF/QR payment codes, with which citizens can complete the payment of fees (permit and transfer) through the web/mobile banking of the bank of their choice, was put into production.
The possibility of issuing RF/QR payment codes is initially available for all vehicles belonging to the Region of Attica and will soon be extended to the rest of the regions of the country. It is recalled that the digital transfer of vehicles is available either on gov.gr, in the “Citizen and Daily Life” section and the “Transfers” subsection, or directly, on the https://drivers-vehicles.services.gov.gr platform.
The payment process via web/mobile banking with RF/QR code is particularly simple. With the electronic payment of fees, the vehicle transfer process is simplified and made safer both for citizens and for the public services of the Attica Region with multiple two-way benefits:
-Simplifying, speeding up and upgrading the security of transactions
– Immediate notification of the Attica Region for the payment of the fees
-Ensuring the correctness of payment details
-Providing citizens with a common experience with other public and private sector payments
The service was implemented and made available by the Ministry of Digital Governance, through the General Secretariat of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures and the Region of Attica, in collaboration with DIAS SA. and domestic credit institutions. The action is part of the overall ongoing project for the digital transformation of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, within the framework of the programmatic agreement of the two co-competent ministries implemented by the General Secretariat of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures, under the supervision of the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance Thodoris Livanios and Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for Transport, Michalis Papadopoulos.
The extension of the possibility of electronic payment of fees to the rest of the Regions of the country will reduce the administrative burden of the Transport Directorates and improve the quality of service to citizens throughout Greece.
